I remember the first time we had Nintendo, my late cousin owned the video game. It was the first time a saw a video game in a household. We used to sit in front of the television watching me play and waiting for our turn to play. The first few weeks we had the game, we used to move with the controller either if we what to jump move left or right. We would move our arms and turn on the sides of our waist. Finding the secret passage and looking for points were very fun to look for, but I was never a big video game player. I didn’t have the passions for it, few minutes were good enough for me.

We used to play Super Mario, Zeldia and Donkey Kong. My favorite was Zeldia, it was fun running around the castle to rescue the princess and finding the secret passage. But for Super Mario I find it frustrateing I could never get to the last stage.

During my teenage years there was an arcade on the west end of the community on the inuit side. They had pacman, ping pong and other games. I was very hooked with the pac man. Trying to get the next stage was a great challenge.

The think the classic video games are still very addictive.
